OS Version is 2.26.... the latest OS for all the E-MU Rackmount Synths. NO RackEars Please note: The volume knob has just a bit of wiggle in it. Not too much, its just slight, but its worth mentioning in the spirit of full disclosure. The other knobs dont have any wiggle. The all knobs work great and the Data knob has no skipping around at all. The sound is GREAT!! The LCD is easy to read and there are no missing pixels in the readout. This synth has some of the best Vintage Keyboard music sound sets out there so you will have plenty of sonic material to work with. You will be delighted with these Vintage musical sounds. If you do any kind of music, you need this synth. There is nothing else quite like it out there. The E-MU Vintage Pro has the same technical specifications of the Proteus 2000 synth, but with a new face and different sound ROM.
