But, she's not just any neighbor... she's the wife a a US Senator! Was she really collateral damage? Suddenly, the local police and FBI are hot on their trail and nothing is as it appears. Comments: A totally overlooked gem, Judas Kiss has titillating erotic romance, reminiscent of Body Heat; it has cops and crime, political intrigue and more than a dash of daytime soap. Plus there is the touch of gritty violence that any professional "by-the-numbers" crime film must employ. Emma Thompson delivers her role with grace and humor. Alan Rickman, as the whacked-out local cop, is excellent but not overbearing (Rickman always manages to steal the show). As an aside, the kidnappers generally show some intelligence - a rare thing in kidnapping films - avoiding most of the film clichés which plague the genre. Per the label, running time is 94 minutes. The film is presented in full screen 4:3 format, with original English audio... no subtitles. This movie-on-demand MOD archive title on recorded media is new and factory sealed. The DVD disc is Region 1, NTSC format, specifically designed to play on DVD players in North America. It will probably not play on a PlayStation or similar game device.
