Description: Up for sale are six quite scarce and vintage WWll naval warfare classics by the great Douglas Reeman. Two are first editions as published by Hutchinson and company in the UK. One is a later BCE published by Stoddard, which is signed on the title page. These books were owned by a retired Lieutenant Commander of the Royal Canadian Navy who fought in World War II in the South Atlantic. - Rendezvous South Atlantic. There is a lengthy note written inside the cover about the owner of these books (SEE LAST PHOTO). It is a 1st / 1st published in 1972. - “Strike from the Sea” is also a 1st / 1st published in 1978. - Winged Escort, 1st / 1st 1975, Signed by Reeman on the title page - “The Iron Pirate” appears to be a BCE, which is signed by Reeman on the title page - Too Risks Unknown, 1st / 1st 1970, Signed by Reeman on the title page. Book plate of owner on the 1/2 title page. - Torpedo Run, 1st/1st 1981. CONDITION: All six books are in Very Good + condition in Near Fine dust jackets. They are price clipped. The BCE has some light page toning as typical with book clubs. “Strike From the Sea” has a small remainder dot on the bottom page edge.
