The Console is brand new and only turned on for the first time to take the photos for this listing. The console is a custom designed unit that combines all the best revisions of the orginal Mega Drive/Genesis hardware, providing the best combination of Audio and Graphics output from the one system. It also features switches on the side to switch between NTSC/PAL,a nd 50Hz/60Hz video output! It does NOT use emulation or FPGA, but instead is a customer designed unit. History of the custom console To be honest, I don't know the full history of these and who/why they were made, but I was luck enough to pick up a couple around 3 years ago and I have since used one as my main Sega Mega Drive (as it's known in Australia) console ever since. This one I am selling now has sat in my display cabinet never turned on until I took the photos for this listing. My unit is still probably the prized item of my entire gaming collection! It runs perfectly everything I have ever tried from my 200+ original games collection (including a mix of AUS, UK PAL and Genesis titles). Obviously it doesn't work with the Mega CD as there's no expansion port and I haven't got a 32X to try. however I have used my unit extensively with everything from Everdrive flashcarts to the Master System Converter to play Sega Master System games. My unit has been used in place of an original Mega Drive for 3 years without a single issue.
