Description: For offer: a Continental Brewing Company blob champagne beer from Philadelphia, PA. This was blown in clear (decolorized) glass batch into a two-part private mold and finished with a hand-tooled blob lip in the 1880's. It was recovered in a Philadelphia privy excavation in the last year. It is in very good dug condition with no damage at all. It shows light use wear with some moderate interior ground haze. This would clean up well if one so desired. It is embossed diagonally in a script font up the frontal body. A structurally perfect Phila brewery bottle; a lesser occurring mold for this firm. Mold code: " 1155 " -embossed on the base. It measures: 9 1/16" x 2 11/16".
