Description: Second edition, first printing hardcover copy of The Collected Works of C. G. Jung Volume 1: Psychiatric Studies (Princeton University Press, 1970). Part of the Bollingen Series XX. Translated by R.F.C. Hull. A very hard to find early edition of these iconic writings on psychiatry / philosophy / psychology by one of the greatest minds in recent memory. Price-clipped jacket is protected in new archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and wear around the edges - including chipping, creases and small tears. Heavy foxing to interior side of jacket, boards, endpapers, and many pages, especially near beginning and end of book. Binding remains firm and spine is fairly straight. Previous owner’s ex-libris sticker on front endpaper, no other writing inside or out. Text block faintly wavy towards outer edges. See photos for condition.
