Description: Since this coin is rare, its condition can be clearly seen in the photo. Coin 2 pair 3 kopecks 1773, Moldavian-Walachian coin, Moldavian-Russian coin. During the Russo-Turkish war (1768-1774), which ended with the Kyuchuk-Kainarji peace, Marshal Pyotr Rumyantsev-Zadunaisky, the commander of the Russian occupation forces in Moldavia and Wallachia, took measures to organize the economy and taxes in these principalities. He initiated the minting of coins for circulation in these provinces, which were called Sadogur. In 1770, a mint was founded on the estate of Baron Nikolai Hartenberg (Sadogursky) in the city of Sadaghura, located near the city of Chernivtsi, where coins were minted with a denomination expressed in Turkish (pairs) and Russian monetary units (money and kopecks). Prior to the introduction of these coins, in 1771, a series of trial coins with the monogram of Empress Catherine II was minted[1], after which the design was officially approved, bearing the coats of arms of the two principalities on the obverse, and on the reverse - the denomination and year of issue[1] . The material for the manufacture of coins was bronze, smelted from cannons captured from the Turkish army.
