Description: Up for auction is a mature Sarracenia rubra ssp. gulfensis var. heterophylla. This variety naturally lacks the red pigment called anthocyanin. It makes for a very unique and beautiful plant and flower. All pitchers and phyllodia are a pale green throughout. Aside from the lack of the pigment, these plants resemble S. rubra ssp. gulfensis in every way. These plants are of flowering size and may have multiple growth points. Sarracenia rubra ssp. gulfensis is an autumn producer. It starts by producing tall slender pitchers early in the growing season, which become deep more robust by the end of the growing season. This particular varieties flowers are lime green with pale green petals, produced before the season's first pitchers on tall stalks. The photos in the listing are of the mother colony. They are NOT of the exact plants you will be receiving. These plants are now in full dormancy. Growth for the season has ceased, and this year's growth has begun to die back. The buyer should be prepared to provide the necessary conditions to complete the dormancy requirements. The plants will also be cleaned of all dead matter from the previous season. This may involve cutting foliage back to the rhizome. Shipping USPS Priority will be required to ensure healthy arrival. Plants will be shipped on Tuesday pending payment. If payment hasn't been made in time for Tuesday shipment, the shipment MUST be delayed until the following Tuesday. This is all to only ensure the shortest delivery time and reduce stress on the plants. In addition a delay is shipment due to extreme weather (heat/cold) may be possible, but will only be needed if the plant's health is in jeopardy. Some foliage may be removed to reduce water loss. This harms the plant in no shape or form, aside from cosmetically. Which I find far less of immediate importance than the overall health of the plant. The plants will be shipped bare-root and wrapped with fungicide treated damp paper towels. The buyer should be ready for delivery with materials to pot the plant. Do not allow the plants to remain packaged for potting the following day. Do not remove the plants from the package and allow the root stock to remain wrapped to be potted at a later time. Do not remove the packaging and root wrapping to "temporary" pot them until they can be potted correctly. Remove all packaging on the day of delivery and permanently pot up the plants in a suitable soilless medium. If the buyer has any questions on what they should be potted in PLEASE contact me; using the incorrect medium will ensure compromising the plants health. All prices are subject to change from auction to auction. Prices are based on available stock, and are not based on rarity of species. In my opinion, opportunities for the cultivation of these plants should not be set by financial limits. That being said, there are no refunds for previous auctions sold for less amounts at a later date. Rest assured that price fluctuations will not be drastic if a change does occur. No returns accepted. Shipping will be combined for multiple auction purchases. If multiple Buy-It-Now listings are purchased, shipping will also be combined; however, please wait for an updated invoice before paying. Please keep in mind if Buy-It-Now option is used the item will remain available to others until payment is completed. Updated invoices will be sent as soon as possible, but no later than the following morning. Any questions please feel free to contact me. **LOCATION DATA DISCLAIMER**After reading a recent paper in the journal of the International Carnivorous Plant Society, I have decided to no longer disclose location data for any of the plants sold.https://cpn.carnivorousplants.org/articles/CPNv52n2p85_105.pdf
