BUDDY L Once Hydraulic Dump Truck, Metal, 20"L, a Durable 1950s Classic!

Description: 1950's Vintage BUDDY L Once-Hydraulic Dump Truck, weighs nearly 6 pounds. Measures 20"L x 7.75"H x 7.25"W. This is one very long and very heavy toy. It is all metal except for the tires. Competitively Priced for a Legacy Toy of its Age, Condition, and Size The truck rolls fine. Its hydraulic dumping function no longer works, but a lever on the driver's side allows manual dump action. The bed stays in its raised position until it is manually lowered. I spotted only a few actual 'dents' and they are very tiny. Missing paint and a tarnished (or rusty?) grille are its biggest flaws. One decal is in better shape than the other. The underside is especially clean. See all photos. It is possible that someone repainted the yellow bed post-manufacture, as there are two dried-up paint drips on the underside of the rear bed. As is, it is a testament to the quality mid-century production that spawned these legacy toys. But, even if it's ready for, and hardy enough to withstand, more play, it really begs to be put on display. With most of its flaws being superficial, this truck is a good candidate for restoration. Big toys require bigger shipping cartons, so, even with Ground Advantage, this item will cost more to ship. However, on larger toys such as this, I make a practice of refunding a portion of the buyer's shipping cost AFTER the label has been printed.
