Oil pastel on fine, off-white paper, 17 1/2" x 25 3/8" (image and sheet), signed ("Beryl Bernay-Kossovskaya") lower left, "Beryl Bernay - Summer Afternoon" inscribed on the frame back. Fine condition. Tipped to the foamcore backboard with a piece of paper tape in each corner, verso, the backboard mounted at its edges to a 3/4"-wide wood frame insert; the 1 14"-deep plexiglass frame, which attaches to the insert, via screws, at three places along each edge, is scratched, and needs replacing. (The painting will be shipped in this frame.) Undated; probably, last quarter of the twentieth-century.
