Starting off this collection is a short interview with Paul McCartney from some time around 1967 talking about music and the current scene (at the time). It starts off with a clip of The Beatles performing at The Cavern from 1962, followed by and audio introduction by Flip Wilson then on to Paul’s interview finally ending with a short clip of “Twist and Shout” from 1963 (which runs about 2 minutes total). Next up is a short clip from their historic New York JFK Airport Press Conference on Feb. 7, 1964. This clip runs for about a minute in which someone yells to them "Would you tell Murray the K to cut that crap out?" to which they respond (yelling, jokingly) "CUT THAT CRAP OUT!", next someone yells out "A psychiatrist recently said you're nothing but a bunch of British Elvis Presleys." to which they respond "It's not true!! It's not true!!" (Shaking like Elvis). Then comes their arrival at Sydney Airport on June 11, 1964 in the midst of a huge rainstorm. We then cut to lots of screaming fans below their hotel window, then finally on to an interview with John, Paul, George & Jimmy (Jimmy Nicol replaced Ringo during this part of the tour due to illness, the only instance they ever had to use a replacement for one of the fab four to cover live obligations). Most of the usual stuff is covered here, fans, music, movies, what they’re currently up to, what’s in the future, etc. What’s nice is a short talk with Jimmy about how he feels being Ringos standin as well as when is Ringo going to rejoin the band. This segment finally ends with some more footage of screaming fans. This piece runs about 5 minutes. Last up is a newsreel from 1965 about their getting the MBE awards. It starts with some clips from “A Hard Days Night”, then shows some news clippings from the event, then finally on to an interview with John, Paul, George and Ringo about their reaction and thoughts on getting their MBE awards, mentioning their upcoming US tour and their return to “The Ed Sullivan Show”. This is the version with the interviewer sitting between the four of them (two on the left and two on the right), this runs about 4 minutes. A very nice collection of Beatles from a 16mm B&W sound news films running about 11 minutes in total.
