Description: Discovered in Mexico City, the original massive Aztec Sun Stone is on display in the National Museum of Anthropology and History. The Aztecs (or Mexica, as they called themselves) believed that the sun struggled against the darkness. This small "Sun Stone" replica is from the Museo Nacional de Antropologia gift shop in Mexico -- it is made of a resin material and mounted on its wood base. There also appears to be some chipping to the edge (hard to tell if it is damaged or if it was this way originally? ) Please see the photos showing the edge. It is approx 1" H x 2.8" W x 3.5 L The last photo shows the reverse side sale sticker info.
