Description: the candlestick just lovely little quintessential arts & crafts-period hammered sterling silver candle stick. made by james e blake & company of attleboro massachusetts. the company was founded in 1881 as «blake & calfin», then incorporated in 1898 as the james e blake company. they went out of business in 1936. the patina on the object is really pretty. take a look at the second image for dimensions. james e blake & company produced sterling and silver plated novelty, vanity and small take items. company information from: silvercollection.it/americansilvermarksbdue.html and 925-1000.com/ax_blake_je.html. makers/marks e blake & company logo sterling «1658» (likely the model number of the candle stick) dimensions see second image. here in text: 3" in diameter 1/2" tall condition notes wear commensurate with age. I cannot find any defects. there is a piece of candle left in the candlestick stem, but I will leave it to the buyer to remove it. it's made it a long time in such pristine condition as a delicate item. please note, the images are the majority of the listing description, so take a look at them closely. trying to downsize some, though extremely melancholically. i otherwise work more than full time and my health isn't great, so kindly excuse the longer handling time. if i am able to ship sooner, i will. i appreciate you taking the time to view my listing.
