Description: Gorgeous Antique Electrified Oil Lamp Gorgeous condition! This lovely, eye-catching antique oil lamp was converted to electric at some point in its history, and now has been cleaned, tested and is working well. The solid brass and brass plated cast iron base has a lovely patina. The lamp is heavily weighted because of the cast iron base, so it is very sturdy. No cracks or dents in the brass. The gorgeous glass shade and chimney have no chips or cracks - just a tiny mark here or there, but nothing notable. The base is marked B&H 3122 (Bradley & Hubbard). The wick raising knob has a Patent date of May 21, 1895 which is a patent held by the Edward Miller Company. The spreader over the wick would have had the Miller logo, which is no longer needed because of the light bulb. ;-) Use 1 standard-base light bulb up to 60 watts, or use an LED bulb for any brightness you like, as they use low wattage for bright light. Light bulb not included.
