Description: Antique Victorian Ecclesiastical Gothic Brass Lantern/Candle Holder - 29cm, A/F A slightly raised base with with three decorative scrolled rising spires, each one terminating with a pedestal which three angels stand on opposing sides around the middle gallery; curved brass spires lead up, again, to the top gallery where likely once a lid, possibly cathedral-like in form, would have been situated which would have had a a hook on its underside to hang a suspension with a candle in place. Still, a highly decorative item. 29 cm Tall (11 / ") Base Width: 14 cm Condition: Used - As Found. As mentioned, there would have likely been a lid in place that is not present. Scratches visible on the base with also moderate to heavy tarnish residue. Darkened/tarnish appearance to galleries, spires & angels. Also, within one gallery there are paint blotches.
