Description: Antique PRIMITIVE Wooden 40.5" BUTTER Churn DASHER - Nice & SOLID - Great PATINA Up for auction is an authentic original antique wood primitive dasher for a crock butter churn in great original condition. Check out those old straight saw marks on the dasher end, an outstanding character piece !!! It was found at an old estate cleanout, absolutely not a reproduction, this is the real deal. This dasher measures about 40-1/2 inches tall, the cross paddles measure 5-1/2 inches and 5-3/8 inches across to the outside edges. It is in very clean nice solid condition, some obvious signs of wear and use. Handle shaft is made of some type of fine grain hardwood. It shows wear and signs of use where it was in motion inside the opening of the lid of a churn for butter churning. A very well-made good solid piece with no real damage - it would look great displayed with your stoneware, crockery, red wing or primitive set-up.
