Description: This is an antique piece that is from my husband's family. It is sterling silver and is a portrait of Mary Cowl. THE PIN SWINGS LIKE IT IS SUPPOSED TO BUT THE HINGE SIDE LOOKS AS IT NEEDs A FIX. You can see this in the picture. I read that an artist at times would have to use a single bristle of a brush to paint details. It looks as though on this one in the hair. On the back of it in the porcelain it has these letters. G then under it is a P P. Then under that is a L. There are fine scratches in the porcelain on both sides.
