Description: It is a Daki-ningyo (hugging) doll with jointed wrists and ankles, handcrafted during the Japanese Meiji era (1868-1912). He is very cute, with original human hair and height about 21.65 in (55 cm). He is made of gofun. There is a glue mark on his hair at the top and a small scratch on his left thumb and right fingers, as you can see in the photos; other than that he is in good condition for a doll over 110 years old. I'll pass it on to someone who will cherish and love it. It will be a wonderful addition to your collection! It comes from a smoke-free home, and has always been well-kept inside a sealed cabinet.
