Description: Nice antique German Erzgebirge toy wooly sheep on platform in great all original patina & condition. The stick-leg sheep is all original and everything is in excellent condition. The sheep's body is covered in white cotton and the legs are morticed through the wood platform. There are painted facial features and the red paper waist band is also original. This is not marked but I am sure it was made in Germany in the early 1900's. The wood platform is about 2 1/4" x 1 1/4" and the sheep is 2 1/2" high. This is a really nice early example, you will not be disappointed. I have a large collection of early German Putz pieces and will be listing many in the near future.Please check my eBay store frequently.
