Description: An interesting shooting stick. I haven't worked out whether this was a full size shooting stick that has been cut down or whether it was made to be short originally. The whole has been ebonised although this has worn in places and the seat has a hand hold at each end. There is a steel ground plate and spike. The seat is supported by two steel bars that are set in to runners on either side of the stick. It has been suggested that this could have a military background and been for use in the trenches but I can not say either way. Maybe it was for a child or was it designed or modified for fishing? If you are around 5'8" and fishing with a light setup, then this would make the perfect perch to sit by the river. Total Length = 52cmSeated Height (from plate) = 27.5cm This unique piece is in good, clean, condition, ready to use or display. Please get in touch if you have any questions.
