Description: For sale, a wonderful antique very old 19th century wrought iron whale oil, miners, betty lamp. This wonderful early whale oil, miners, betty lamp has it's original hanging hook still attached at the top of the lamp, very unique and rare to find, it may possibly been used at a old farmers house and not for a mine workers use. Beautiful large C shape handle, nicely curved shape. Nice heart or spade shape. Nice small size. I have never used it, or did not ever light the wick. It also has it's original metal double wick. It is 4 inches long, stands 4 1/2" high to the top of the handle, not including the wrought iron hanger, 3 1/4 inches wide. Original hinge works great. It is in it's original found condition, some rust which is normal for it's age and use. I do not repaint items. I leave all items as in found condition.
