Description: This is a rare June 1969 "Evergreen Showcard" program (playbill) from the opening weeks of the Original Off-Broadway production of the MARIA IRENE FORNES and AL CARMINES musical "PROMENADE" at the Promenade Theatre in New York City. (The production premiered on April 9th, 1965 at the Judson Poets' Theatre in New York City where it played three weekends. This production opened June 4th, 1969 and closed January 17th, 1970 after 259 performances.) ..... The ensemble cast included MARGOT ALBERT, MARC ALLEN III, SHANNON BOLIN, MICHAEL DAVIS, PIERRE EPSTEIN, ANTHONY FALCO, EDMUND GAYNES, PAMELA HALL, GLENN KEZER, TY McCONNELL, ART OSTRIN, ALICE PLAYTEN, ELLIOTT SAVAGE, SANDRA SCHAEFFER, AL SETTIMIO, FLORENCE TARLOW and CARRIE WILSON. The understudies were AL SETTIMIO, IGORS GAVON and MARIE SANTELL ..... CONDITION: With the exception of "Wed. afternoon" written in pencil on the outside edge of the title page and moderate edge wear, this rare playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
