Description: You will receive 6 unrooted cuttings, each approximately 6-7” long, from our amazing Goji Berry shrubs growing in sunny FL. These are the Lycium Chinense variety and are mature wood cuttings (not green), just like those in the photos. Home grown naturally using regenerative methods with lots of love and zero chemicals or pesticides. You will receive fresh unrooted cuttings, just like those in photos. These cuttings are cut fresh to order, the same day I ship them to you. I strip most of the leaves and the bottoms will be wrapped with wet paper towels to retain moisture and packaged with great care for safe shipping. IMPORTANT: I cannot ship this item to CA. If your shipping address is to CA your order will be cancelled. Thank you for your understanding. Growing Info & TipsThe goji berry shrub, also known as Wolfberry, Gou Qi Zi, Matrimony Vine, and Boxthorn, grows to around 3-6ft with pretty arching branches. It grows well in zones 6-10. Here in Florida it flowers heavily in the spring, pretty little purple and white flowers that the bees absolutely love. It is self-pollinating and the berries are small and red-orange in color. The goji berries ripen at varying times, not all at once (indeterminate). The branches do have a few spines/thorns. It is very hardy and can tolerate infertile soil. Pruning increases yields. I really love having this growing in the garden as its packed full of goodness and you can use the leaves, flowers, fruit, and bark. For Propagating the Cuttings:Please put the cuttings in small glass of water as soon as possible upon arrival. I recommend propagating them in water. Simply put the cuttings in a mason jar or clear glass with water until they are a quarter to halfway submerged. Keep the jar in a sunny area and change the water often. You will start to see new growth sprouting from the cuttings first and then a few weeks later roots will begin to form. Wait until you have a decent amount of roots before transferring to soil. When transplanting them in soil, I recommend putting them in pots first, keep them in the shade, and watered until they are more established & then you can up pot or transfer to the ground. You can also opt to propagate the cuttings directly in the soil (instead of in water), and if you chose to do that I would suggest a natural rooting hormone to help them along. Taste and PreparationThe berries are small but packed full of goodness and we enjoy them when they are fresh… yummy! Goji berries can be eaten raw, cooked, or dried (like raisins). The leaves, flowers, fruit and bark have all also been used as an herbal ally for centuries. Please do your own research before consuming. Please Note: All of my cuttings are fresh and viable. Growing plants is fun! The majority of the time it is a success but sometimes it’s not. This just is the way it is with nature and gardening. I hope you experience success with all the cuttings, however because I am not there to plant them, I cannot be responsible for rooting failure due to improper planting or climate conditions etc. I do include a detailed note with planting advice with your order to help ensure your success. Shipping of Cuttings: I ship my cuttings via the Postal Service, USPS, as a First Class package with tracking. I will freshly cut the cuttings on the same day that i ship them to you. I will package them in paper towel with great care to ensure safe delivery to you. These are fresh cuttings that will need to be planted upon their arrival to you.
