These postcards are ANTIQUE postcards from the early 1900s. The postcards are colorful and attractive. TUCK & SONS postcards have good value. The following is what is included in this lot: 1. "The Village Choir" - Oilette #9030. YE OLDEN DAYS Series II. 1907. Artist, E. Strellett2. "Illustrated Songs" Series - Oilette #1362. 1905. Artist, Graham Hyde. 3. "Sir Thomas Lipton" - Vanity Fair Cartoons Series 1545. 1906. Artist, SPY (Sir Leslie M. Ward) These postcards were published by Raphael Tuck & Sons, who is an important and valued publisher. They published from 1866 through the mid 1960s in England. They first started with publishing Christmas cards printed in their native Prussia, Germany. They are noted for high quality postcards and ephemera that have a huge appeal to collectors. Tuck’s “Oilette” Series was the first VIEWS postcards published in 1903 and came in sets. These became their most popular cards, and a “standard” model for other publishers. The firm was so well respected that they had the honor of being appointed in 1894 by Queen Victoria as the "Art Publishers to their Majesties the King & Queen of the United Kingdom.” These postcards are POSTED and clean. They have DIVIDED back, although they come from the undivided era. These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains and edge wear due to their age. The photos show the postcards and the backs. The postcards are shipped in a sturdy envelope. We only ship within the USA; we do not ship internationally.
