Description: Four nice vintage silver pieces here. From a small collection of exonumia I purchased a few years ago; the majority of which was purchased from a stamp shop. These four items remain in the plastic flips stapled to the shop's card, with descriptions and prices written in ink/marker. Look at the sale prices and it will tell you just how long ago this was. 40+ years ago is my guess. There is one coin, a 1968 Mexico Olympics 25 pesos. Struck at the Mexico Mint in .720 fine silver, it features an Aztec ball player on the obverse and the eagle on the reverse. Uncirculated. Coin alignment ↑↓. Incused edge reads 'Indepencia Y Libertad' Three medals, all produced by the Franklin Mint. All are proofs, struck in .925 fine silver and with medal alignment ↑↑. 1970 25th Anniversary of United Nations. Obverse shows the UN Building in NYC with a statue in the foreground. Around the rim is 'Peace Justice Progress' in five languages. The reverse shows the UN logo circled by 'Twenty-Fifth Anniversary 1945-1970'. Around the rim is 'United Nations' in the same five languages. Uncirculated with polished areas displaying some cloudiness. Plain edge, engraved with 'Sterling', a hallmark, the year (70) and the Franklin Mint mark, and then the serial # 01889. 1971 medal commemorating the VI Pan American games at Cali, Columbia. Obverse shows a female diver. Reverse shows a flaming torch fronted by the US shield, over the words 'United States Olympic Team XX Olympiad' These games were held at Munich in 1972. Uncirculated with polished areas displaying some cloudiness. Reeded edge except a plain area engraved with 'Sterling', a hallmark, the year (71) and the Franklin Mint mark. 1974 Gerald Ford 38th President medal. This was an update to the 1970 set Franklin Mint issued, which went up to and including Richard Nixon. These were also issued in 'mini-coin' form in silver. This medal weighs over 33 grams of sterling and comes out to one Troy ounce of pure silver. Reeded edge. Franklin Mint mark on the reverse..Beautiful medal, only very minor toning to the mirrored portion. You can look up these individually and see the highs and lows and individual shipping costs. I think my price for all four with free shipping is very fair.
