2011 TOPPS FRANK SINATRA AMERICAN PIE COMPLETE HOLLYWOOD SIGN LETTERS

Description: THE 2011 TOPPS - ULTRA RARE - FRANK SINATRA HOLLYWOOD SIGN This is one of my favorite pieces, not just because it looks awesome, but the amount of time and effort it took to acquire these letters... And there really isn't any like it, yes I see someone got the sample pack that included all the pieces in the same pack. But Frank's picture isn't even on each card, and lets face it it's not framed, etc... I used to collect the baseball cards along with my other friends in the neighborhood. We would trade them and swap them for Marbles, or the original Hot Wheel Cars which were the only Hot Wheel Cars, because they had just came out... If we got a player that didn't measure up to Willie Mays, or Mickey Mantle, or being from Detroit, if they weren't a Detroit Tiger. Chances are that card would end up on our Schwinn Stingrays in the spokes, making that cool clicking sound which made our bikes seem like they had engines. I don't have any proof, but I really think the cards in the spokes made us go a little bit faster, Lol ! So you are working at TOPPS, and Mr. Topp comes to the meeting and says sales are down ! How can we bring the sales back up ? Well one brilliant employee stepped up and said, lets make a cool actors series card. Make it not "just a limited edition", but if it could spell a word, like "HOLLYWOOD" ! That way someone who is collecting the cards, will have a goal to at least get each letter to spell out HOLLYWOOD. There are only 25 of each letter in the world, the word Hollywood, has 3 count them, 3 letter O's. That means after this sign, there are only 22 letter O's left, "IN THE WORLD" people ! It took me 3 years to collect all the letters, of course the letter "O" being the oh so hardest ! I don't really know if that's how it happened, the idea of the "actor series", I don't even know of there is a "Mr. Topp" , but it did happen, and we are glad it did ! I took a risk on the framing, the real HOLLYWOOD sign isn't just the letters straight across they are up high in the Hollywood Hills, not on a level surface. So they are up and down, which I staggered like the real letters. It looks awesome and is framed in real wood, in orange Frank's favorite color. Also sort of how the real sign looks when the sun is setting in the Pacific Ocean, saying goodbye to yet another amazing day in Southern California, Hollywood Style ! PS.
