No cutting or splicing! Just unplug the 4-pin connector at the firewall going to your ESC, and plug this bypass module in. ESC is Electronic Spark Control. This simple plug-in unit bypasses the ESC Module behind the glovebox, and re-routes the spark signal back to the distributor with no adjustments. This is an easy way to temporarily (or permanently) bypass your ESC system After installing, it's likely you'll need to adjust timing, as your ESC is not longer doing it for you. Wire color of bypass module may vary. Hand-Assembled in the USA by seller. **Due to a wide variety of options in trucks in that era, this may or may not fit your application. I believe ESC was installed LE9 (305) engines from 1981 to 1986, but this may fit other years and engines, or, it may not fit yours. Please review the photos to make sure the connector is right for your application. Pins A & C from your distributor connector should be the Black and Green wires.
