Description: 1972 1973 Fleer CLOTH patch stickers set of 54. Incredible group of these here that could take years to put together in this condition or otherwise. I use the term 'set', as these represent helmets and logos for all 26 teams at the time. Collectors of these know there are several variations of these as well as some clear differences between the 1972 and 1973 releases of these. Many of the helmets and logos are exactly the same for both 1972 and 1973.Some key notes: The Dolphins/NFL Shield is 1973. The Dolphins Helmet is 1972 (font), Packers and Steelers Helmet are 1972 (Steelers font), Rams helmet is one version of several variations issued in 1972 (white ram logo on helmet), Vikes helmet is 1972 (Fins font), Chargers logo 1972 (powder blue), Chiefs logo RARE error (Redskins logo shows), Dolphins logo 1972 (font/key to the set), 49ers logo 1972 (key to the set), Vikings logo (steelers font/key to the set). Cowboys/NFL Champs Shield 1972.Many of these are NM, with clean backs. Some are lesser, and the Broncos, Browns and Oilers logos and maybe a few more are VG or so. These are NOT separated, but should be handled with extreme care, and I recommend storing them in wax glassine envelopes over the long run. Here’s a rare chance to fill that tough Fleer collection of yours. Please review scans carefully.
