Description: This is an original Ford bellhousing part # C6OA-6394-DI understand these were used up until 1970, but this one has the correct date code for a 1966, in fact it is pretty early, made on October 6th 1965 according to the date code 5k6. This bell housing was filthy when I found it, I shot blasted it reasonably clean, but it could use a little more cleaning. I was planning on get it really clean and painting it with primer, but I decided against it for a couple reasons. First reason is they weren't painted on the inside from the factory, and the outside only had the Ford blue with no primer under it. This may be important for someone doing a concourse restoration.The second reason is the markings I found under the Ford blue paint, the top 2 bolt bosses have a paint pen mark around them with arrows, below that is the lettering OK done with another paint pen. I would guess this is some kind of factory inspection markings, this is the kind of thing that could have been done early in the casting run when they were working the bugs out of the tooling. Its interesting if nothing else, the markings are on there pretty good, the paint blasted off leaving the markings. All threaded holes are nice, I ran a pat through them so they are clean, no cracks or other problems, overall this is a nice bell housing.sale is for the housing only, I don't have any other parts.
