1958 Fender Vibrolux Combo Amplifier Amp

Description: For your consideration is this restored honest to goodness 1958 Fender Vibrolux 5f11 combo amplifier retweeded, a changed output transformer & speaker.. This original 5f11 cab is the same size cab as the 5e3 narrow panel Deluxe, so l have a12 inch and 10 inch baffle made. So currently installed is a 12 inch alnico Jensen P12Q (with original cone) From the 50s. (A 10 inch speaker baffle is also included to easily put it back to stock 1 x 10). This combo just weighs 25.5. Lbs The original chassis chrome and lettering is in very good condition, and retains the original circuit and no extra holes or major mods. The Vibrolux has its original Power transformer and a vintage spec Classic Tone output transformer. The amp has had a recent service. There are replaced caps and some resistors. What's left is included. The amp is optimally dialed in; power tubes matched & biased, idles quietly, has working (foot switchable) Vibrato, good NOS tubes/rectifier and sounds great. Thanks for looking. • The Tube chart is intact with date stamp HH, August 1958, Fender 5F11 Tweed Vibrolux • Chassis Serial # F01376 stamped on the chassis and written on the tube chart • the Power transformer is the original Triad 66079B • The Output transformer is a new Classic Tone • The pots and tone cap are original • an upgraded vintage speaker; black frame Jensen alnico P12Q 220615 (April 1956) w/oroma cone, new 18g cloth wire harness • A Vintage-style Vibrato foot-switch and a high quality leather handle are included • The cab was retweeded and lacquered along with the recreated back panels. A repro name badge was fitted. 2 New vintage spec 1/4" plywood speaker baffles are included. One 12inch baffle covered with correct era repro cloth and a 10 inch with real 50s cloth that had been sprayed black years ago • Service; a grounded cord, 'death cap' removed, selenium rectifier bypassed with an appropriate diode, replaced filter caps (F&T/ Mersen), new coupling caps and signal caps ( the removed original yellow Astron's are included), the tone cap remains original and intact. • general lube and cleaning, anything else it needed to make it as safe, reliable and as great sounding as possible. This amp is offered in AS-IS condition, not because of any damage or perceived flaw but due to its uniqueness and age of the components. • 'The 1950s tweed Fender Vibrolux marked a special debut in Fender history: the built in tremolo effect, introduced with this model along with the larger Tremolux. The tweed Vibrolux 5F11 is a relatively compact and light combo amp originally with one 10" Jensen (alnico) speaker and a dual-6V6 power section (with fixed bias) putting out around 10 watts of power. The circuit is basically the same as its little brother, the 5F10 Harvard, with a tremolo feature added; on introduction in 1956 this was smallest Fender amp with built-in tremolo. Harvard and all original 5f11 prices can be somewhat lofty making this Vibrolux a relative bargain due to changed parts and a few upgrades. Amp is 60 plus years old it is being sold in as is condition. It is advisable as with all vintage equipment and recommended you have amp checked out by your amp tech.
