THE SIX CYCLINDER FLAT-OPPOSED ENGINE IS IN THE REAR. EACH CYLINDER HAS A SEPERATE EXHAUST. THAT IS A CINCINNATI SAFETY OFFICIAL WITH ED NUMRICH, CINCINNATI TUCKER DISTRIBUTOR. A very interesting note from a fellow Ebayer: This is #12 Tucker, that is my father in front of the car,his name was Merle Stokes, he worked for the Tucker distributorship out of Columbus, Ohio. He was on the road for most of 1948 showing the Tucker to potential buyers, and signing up Tucker dealerships. The car was one of five to be sold from the Tucker Corp. to the larger Tucker distributors, the purchase took place just a couple of weeks prior this picture. The car was on loan to the Tucker dealer in Cincinnati, Ohio. as a marketing tool. My father traveled extensively in the midwest showing the car around this time frame. The car now resides in La Porte, Indiana at a museum. This would be a fantastic addition to your collection! It is a reproduction 8 x 10 inch glossy photo with white border.
