Description: In the days before manufacturers began integrate timers into appliances like ovens, American clock makers filled the gap with sturdy appliance timers. Swartzbaugh Manufacturing of Toledo, Ohio was one such company. In addition to a wide array of home and commercial appliances and gadgets, they created the Everhot line of on/off timers. This 1938 Everhot has been modified to be simply a great clock. The timer switch and electrical components have been removed for safety reasons. It is too great a liability exposure to run 120 volts through an all metal clock body. The risk of shock, or worse, is not worth it. I will however include the switch mechanism parts if the buyer wishes to return it to full operation. Do so at your own risk. That said, if you want to have perhaps the most unique clock on eBay ticking away in your kitchen, on your desk, or as an Art Deco display or film prop, this super rare Everhot keeps excellent time with a fully restored 30-hour mechanical movement. It looks great too. The case has been refinished in the original Almond White, and all metal parts are polished to a mirror finish. Thanks for looking!
