Description: Report 474 Nomenclature For Aeronautics was originally developed and issued in 1934 by the National Advisory Committee For Aeronautics (precursor to NASA). This is a 1941 reprint from the Superintendent of Documents Office in Washington DC. One of the committee members is General Henry "Hap" Arnold, Chief of the Army Air Corps, later the United States Air Force. The book contains terms and definitions used in Aeronautics that are used to this day. There are also diagrams located in the rear of the book that identify aircraft parts and systems as well as aircraft maneuvers. This is a great piece of early aviation history.
