Description: 1914-D VG/FINE Buffalo Nickel - Better Date MY COMMENTS: THE GOOD NEWS: Nice Original Better Date Coin, Nice Color & Eye Appeal, Nice Readable Date & Mint Mark, Nice Rims. Nice detail in the Indian's Hair. Fine Horn detail on the reverse. Because the date is raised up so much it always wears rather quickly. Weak dates are very common on lower grade coins. As you can see from the picture, the date on this coin is still very nice. The darkness around the design of the coin is a little dirt. This is very common on buffalo's. It looks worse in the picture than it is. Please bid with confidence because I stand behind what I sell. THE BAD NEWS: Not really bad but I want to point out a light scratch down the obverse side. Sometimes things like this can be expected because these coins were used as real money long ago. Most coins have flaws, it's just a matter of what is acceptable for the grade.
