Description: Aqua blob top soda bottle from John Nastasia of Long Branch, New Jersey, circa 1890s to 1900s. The bottle is embossed on the front with John Nastasia, Long Branch, N.J., in an oval around the initials JN. Text on the back reads This Bottle Not to be Re Sold, and there’s an embossed 6 or 9 on the bottom. I found a newspaper article from Long Branch Record in 1901 mentioning that John Nastasia (1861-1947) was building a new front at his store on Norwood Avenue. There is a bit of a haze inside the bottle, showing that it likely was dug. The bottle is otherwise in good to very good condition with some light wear and soiling. No chips or cracks. A nice early Long Branch NJ soda bottle!
