Description: A charming, well bound, set of this 1815 Edinburgh printing, complete in four volumes. Bound in green straight-grained full morocco with gilt ruling and decorative gilt corner-pieces to boards, spines with five raised bands, gilt lettering and decoration to compartments. Top edges gilt, fore and lower edges uncut. Bindings largely sound and firm, though upper joint of Vol. I with short split at head and inner hinge weakened. A little wear to joints and extremities. Spines sunned to brown with wear and minor loss at heads. Foxing and browning to endpapers, with two address stamps, one in blind, to ffep in each volume. Text-blocks remain sound and firm. Pages a little age-toned with some intermittent foxing and other minor blemishes, else in good order throughout. Please view images carefully to confirm condition.
