1787 GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE Dec FIRST BRITISH PRINTING US CONSTITUTION WASHINGTON

Description: The Gentleman's MagazineDecember, 1787+ Supplement UNITED STATESCONSTITUTION EARLY PRINTINGFirst British Printing "Sect. 4. The President, Vice-President, and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office, on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors." ****** Original 1787 issue (two sections - December and the meaty Supplement) with most historic content being the second portion (begun in November 1787 issue, also posted at this time) of the first printing of the US Constitution in England. Both issues have missing pages in this one missing are: pp.1061-1068, 1073-1076, 1079-1082, 1091-1096, 1163/64, 1167-1180. Odd as the pages are neat and clean, quite crisp in fact, better than usual, the pages might well have never been bound in as happened on occasion, certainly was not someone taking out valuable pages as the Constitution pages in both issues are fine and complete and looking at the contents, the missing pages do not jump out in any way. Two engravings are crisp and clean as well. Leather remnant on spine. Scarce and historic. ******We ship swiftly and with safety in mind.Thank you.
